TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Aaron Gordon had 14 points and 10 rebounds and Brandon Ashley added 16 points as No. 6 Arizona rolled over Long Beach State 91-57 on Monday night.
After a so-so opener against Cal Poly, Arizona (2-0) looked more like the team everyone expected, dominating Long Beach State from the opening tip.
Gordon and T.J. McConnell, who had eight assists, got it started and the Wildcats smothered the 49ers defensively all night, holding them to 27 percent shooting.
Gabe York had 14 points and six assists, Nick Johnson added 14 points and Arizona shot 58 percent from the field.
Dan Jennings had 16 points to lead Long Beach State (1-1), which went 5 of 23 from 3-point range.
No. 15 GONZAGA 93, COLORADO ST. 61
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Gary Bell Jr. scored all of his 24 points on 3-pointers to lead Gonzaga in the rout.
Gerard Coleman added 16 points and Kevin Pangos had 13 for Gonzaga (2-0).
Jon Octeus led Colorado State (1-1) with 27 points.
Gonzaga made 14 3-pointers and shot 58 percent from the field (34 of 59).
Bell, a junior, finished 8 of 13 from 3-point range.
Gonzaga opened the second half with a 16-0 run to push its lead to 63-26. Bell made three 3-pointers during the run.
Colorado State, which graduated five starters from last season’s 26-9 team, was 18 of 56 from the field (32 percent).
No. 19 UCONN 80, YALE 62
HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Shabazz Napier put up the 10th triple-double in UConn history.
Napier finished with 14 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for the Huskies (2-0), while Omar Calhoun had 18 points and Niels Giffey added 15, all of them in the first half. He and Calhoun combined for eight of UConn’s 11 3-pointers.
Ryan Boatright hit two more and finished with 14 points for the Huskies.
Justin Sears led Yale (1-1) with 17 points and Javier Duren added 15.
Giffey hit 3-pointers on four consecutive possessions midway through the first half to give the Huskies control of what had been a tight game early.

STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Bria Hartley had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists to help No. 1 Connecticut beat No. 3 Stanford 76-57 on Monday night.
Kiah Stokes added 10 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks for the Huskies (2-0), who got a scare early in the second half when preseason All-America Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis went down trying for a rebound.
She landed awkwardly on her right arm and was down screaming in pain for a few minutes before being helped to the locker room.
Morgan Tuck, her replacement, scored eight straight points, including two 3-pointers, to make it 53-32 with 13:19 left. Stanford couldn’t get closer than 15 points the rest of the way.
Amber Orrange scored a career-high 22 points to lead the Cardinal (1-1). Chiney Ogwumike added 16 points and 13 rebounds.
No. 4 TENNESSEE 81, No. 12 NORTH CAROLINA 65
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) — Ariel Massengale scored a career-high 20 points to lead Tennessee, which led by double figures most of the game.
Isabelle Harrison added 14 points for the Lady Vols (2-0), who led by 12 at halftime then scored the first seven points of the second half to blow the game open.
Freshman Allisha Gray scored 15 points to lead UNC (1-1), which shot 30 percent (21 for 69). Freshman Diamond DeShields, the top recruit in a heralded rookie class, finished with eight points on 3-for-15 shooting before fouling out with 2:10 left.
Massengale, a 5-foot-7 junior, finished 5 of 12 from the field with all of her baskets coming from 3-point range. She matched her career-high with six rebounds to go with seven assists and three steals in 40 minutes. Harrison went 4 of 5, including a key jumper at the 5-minute mark after the Tar Heels had cut a 21-point lead down to 11.
The Tar Heels were again without coach Sylvia Hatchell, as the recently inducted Naismith Hall of Famer focuses on treatment for leukemia.
No. 5 LOUISVILLE 100, QUINNIPIAC 82
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Sara Hammond had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Louisville forced 28 turnovers in a second-round game of the preseason WNIT.
Hammond shot 7 of 9 from the field to post her second consecutive double-double.
The Bobcats trailed 82-68 with about 6 minutes remaining but got no closer as the Cardinals made timely baskets and hit free throws down the stretch.
Antonita Slaughter had 19 points and Jude Schimmel added 16 for the Cardinals, who were 34 of 71 from the field (47.9 percent).
Louisville (2-0) will host No. 14 LSU in Thursday night’s semifinal.
Gillian Abshire had 20 points for Quinnipiac (1-1).
No. 6 NOTRE DAME 81, No. 19 MICHIGAN ST. 62
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — Jewell Loyd had 22 points and nine rebounds and Notre Dame dominated the boards.
Taya Reimer added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Irish (2-0), who finished with a 52-29 rebound advantage.
Becca Mills scored 15 points for the Spartans (0-1).
The last two meetings between Notre Dame and Michigan State — in 2008 and 2009 — were won by the Fighting Irish by a total of seven points.
Notre Dame improved to 28-5 overall — and 9-1 at home — against ranked teams over the past two seasons.
The Irish have won 15 of their last 16 games in November, with the only loss coming to No. 1 Baylor in 2011.
No. 15 NEBRASKA 62, ALABAMA 48
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — Emily Cady had the ninth double-double of her career, 19 points and 11 rebounds, to lead Nebraska.
Sophomore point guard Rachel Theriot added 17 points and five assists for Nebraska (2-0) and Jordan Hooper had eight points and 13 rebounds.
Daisha Simmons had 14 points for the Crimson Tide (0-2).
Theriot’s layup with 15:03 remaining gave Nebraska a 39-28 lead. Alabama closed within six with 11:51 remaining but that was as close as the Crimson Tide could get.
No. 16 TEXAS A&M 67, NORTH TEXAS 48
DENTON, Texas (AP) — Achiri Ade and Karla Gilbert combined for 26 points to lead Texas A&M.
The Aggies (1-0) used a 16-0 run in the first half to take a 24-6 lead.
Ade was 7 of 17 from the field for 14 points and she had rebounds. Gilbert shot 6 of 10 from the field and had 12 points.
Briesha Wynn had 13 points and seven rebounds for the Eagles (1-1).
